For standard residential lending — nothing. The lender pays the broker on settlement. If a niche scenario ever involved a fee, you'd know the exact figure in writing before anything proceeds.
Are you a payday lender?
No. Ew. Fat Loans is a mortgage and finance brokerage: home loans, construction, investment, car and business finance. No small personal loans, ever.
How fast is "fast"?
Enquiries get a callback fast — usually same day. Approval timelines depend on the lender and your paperwork, and I'll give you a straight estimate on our first call rather than a fantasy number.
Will you check my credit just for enquiring?
No. A chat and a quote cost you nothing and touch nothing. A credit check only happens when you decide to apply, and you'll know before it does.
I'm self-employed. Is that a problem?
